Froot Instagram Stories
Motion Graphics - 2021
Brief
This university project involved creating Instagram story concepts for a fictional fruit juice company. These stories were to focus on promoting their flagship strawberry and mango juice.
Logo Animation
A logo was provided with permission to alter it slightly if required. I explored the idea of creating an entrance animation for it, with each letter entering the frame in different ways to assemble the full word.
Transitions
I created some sketches for what I thought could make for some interesting transitions, considering how I could use certain functions in After Effects to give them a liquid or fluid-like feel.
Styleboards
These stillframe drawings were created to give an idea of what the finished product would eventually look like.
Storyboards
The storyboards below show the earlier mentioned transitions in the context of a full video. Notes describing each action are present by each frame.
Animation Elements
I chose to focus heavily on the use of minimalistic shapes with no outlines, to draw the viewer's attention to the outlined fruit and bottle elements.
